Dr. Lauren Rabe is a seasoned public administrator with over 15 years of expertise in public health, grant administration, and higher education. She leverages her professional and academic background to advance the mission of I-TEAM TX and deliver measurable impact across communities.


She earned a Doctor of Public Administration from California Baptist University, where her research centered on infectious diseases, risk communication, and public health policy. Her leadership experience includes directing public health initiatives in pandemic response, emergency preparedness, community resiliency, and the management of multimillion-dollar grant programs.


Dr. Rabe is distinguished for uniting strategy, leadership, and innovation to drive sustainable change. Throughout her career, she has forged cross-sector partnerships, transformed research into actionable practice, and led initiatives that broaden access to education, strengthen public health systems, and build resilient workforces prepared for the future.

Brenda G. Salazar, MPH, CPH, is a seasoned public health professional with more than 20 years of experience in public service, including county government, emergency management, academic medicine, and public health preparedness. With 15 years in leadership and management roles, she has directed complex programs, built partnerships, and advanced initiatives to improve health outcomes in Texas communities.


She holds a Master of Public Health in Policy and Management from Texas A&M University and is Certified in Public Health (CPH) by the National Board of Public Health Examiners. Brenda’s expertise spans grant development, budget planning, program implementation, and compliance management, with a strong track record in securing and managing diverse funding sources.


Her career reflects a commitment to improving health equity, strengthening preparedness, and serving underserved populations—with special interests in diabetes education, adolescent behavioral health, prevention and wellness, and the social determinants of health.

Dr. Christopher Rabe has over 15 years of combined industry and academic experience, developing and delivering workforce training in occupational safety, risk management, and compliance across multiple sectors. 


He is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Engineering Technology at Sam Hou

Dr. Christopher Rabe has over 15 years of combined industry and academic experience, developing and delivering workforce training in occupational safety, risk management, and compliance across multiple sectors. 


He is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Engineering Technology at Sam Houston State University (SHSU), where he teaches Industrial Safety, Construction Safety, and other core courses in the Environmental, Health, and Safety Management (EHSM) program.  He is completing his doctoral studies (A.B.D.) in Interdisciplinary Engineering at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Alongside his academic role, Dr. Rabe provides safety and engineering consulting through his business, PRO-SOS (Professional Strategies for Occupational Safety) 


Dr. Rabe is the Senior Master Trainer for I-TEAM TX, where he leads OSHA trainings, NCCER certification programs, and community resiliency initiatives across Texas. He is deeply committed to helping people realize their true potential through educational and career advancement opportunities.
